The best backend is the one people never have to think about.
Led the design and delivery of customer-facing Java and Kotlin services, targeting a 99.99% availability SLO. One service handled 100K+ requests per second at peak.
Service architecture and delivery, REST and gRPC interfaces, PostgreSQL data layers, and cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
Terraform and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), with Grafana dashboards for incident monitoring and response.
Lower infrastructure costs. Led the retirement of unused non-production services and cloud resources after validating dependencies with service owners.
What if a service could become an AI tool through configuration?
Led the design of an MCP tool-registration platform that exposes service capabilities to AI agents through a single configuration change, without custom MCP protocol code.

Built Selenium and Cucumber automation frameworks that eliminated 20+ hours of weekly manual QA and cut regression testing time by 50% at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Integrated screenshot-based visual regression and functional UI tests into GitHub CI/CD workflows, reporting failures and blocking pull-request merges until checks passed.
Built full-stack applications supporting millions of media assets worldwide, plus a Gatling framework to find performance bottlenecks and scaling issues before release.
